Durch einen längeren Auslandsaufenthalt erhältst du wertvolle Einblicke in eine andere Kultur und kehrst informierter, weltoffener und an vielen Erfahrungen reicher zurück in deinen Alltag.

Brief des Schulleiters Kizito, St. John ´s Secondary School, Kabuwoko

 

Greetings from Kabuwoko Community, Uganda

We are a Secondary school starting from Year 8 to Year 12 in the small town of Kabuwoko near Masaka, Uganda. We would be very happy to accomodate a Student from RNG to stay, work and live with us in Kabuwoko. The following might be your duties while staying in our small community:

 

Volunteers Job Description

  • Teaching of the German Language to Secondary School students (Year 8 to 12)
  • Teaching one of the following subjects in Secondary School (Year 8 to 12): Mathematics, Art, European Geography, Computer, English, Biology, Chemistry, Physics
  • Teaching one of the following subjects in Primary school (Year 1 to 6): Art, Science, English and Mathematics
  • Participate in co-curricular activities in our schools which include the following games: Soccer, Netball, Volleyball, Badminton and others

 

More about Volunteers’ Programme

 

The school year in Uganda begins in February and ends in November. There are three terms in each year. Term1 begins in February and closes in April. Term 2 begins in June and closes in August. Term 3 begins in September and closes in November.

 

Volunteers from the RNG may visit and stay at our schools for a period of time that is convenient to them (so you can stay for 1, 2 or 3 terms)
